Word is one of the 4 secret Tempos currently available in HOURS. It is unlocked by completing Light Beneath Closed Eyes on any difficulty using Hellion and using his Honk (Q) skill to drive down the broken path beside the pink end pad and touching the blue button.
Usage[]
Word is automatically activated right when the player is about to be hit. Time stops for 0.75s, allowing the player to avoid the attack.
Word has a duration of 0.75 seconds and has a cooldown of 4 seconds. When overclocked, the cooldown is reduced to 1.25 seconds.

Tips[]
- This tempo should only be used as a failsafe whenever you host is unable to evade a particular attack.
- Frail Hosts use this tempo to the greatest effect since it allows them to dodge multiple instances of fatal damage.
- During this tempo's activation you should use this time to quickly get out of the way of an attack.
- If you are good enough at dodging attacks, you could use this tempo to get Drifter, though it would require a considerable amount of skill and knowledge on attacks.
Notes[]
- Word only activates when you take health damage, damage blocked by shields do not count.
- Although you can unlock this tempo while playing on Weeks difficulty, it is still a challenge to get due to Hellion's extremely low health.
- The unlock code for this tempo in the Cheat Menu is "Time420".
- Word does not activate if you are playing as Hellion and are about to crash into a car from Fiend Rider, an enemy Hellion or the Resident Mind clone with your own car. This is intentional, for there is no way out of this situation even when stopping time.
