Turbocharge

Turbocharge's icon in the menu

Turbocharge, often abbreviated as TC, is a mechanic in HOURS. It can be accessed through clicking on it's icon in the menu after purchasing Hands of Time. It is currently one of the three features available through the gamepass, the others being Overclock and Chromashift.

Overview[]

  • Players can enable the feature if they have beaten the game once with the host they're turbocharging.
  • Upon activation, players can select all three upgrades after each level has passed instead of only one upgrade regularly.
    • Due to this, the upgrade cap can be tripled from 3 to 9.
  • With Turbocharge, players can enhance their combos even further with 9 upgrades.
    • It can cause frustration sometimes, as the player is forced to pick the three upgrades chosen at random. This may not suit some playstyles, but because of its ability to pick up to 9 perks, it has already overcame its weakness in different aspects.
    • Even worse, upon reaching the final stage, you will have to face your clone that has a larger health pool than yours while having all the upgrades you obtained. This can have dire consequences, as they can become overwhelmingly powerful, shredding the player feasibly.
      • However, this can still be negated with strategic use of your chosen Tempo.

Trivia[]

  • Gaining enough moves as WitnessIcon Witness allows you to always have 1 move off cooldown due to its passive, Conduit.
  • This mechanic works well inside Endless Timeless, allowing the player the have up to 18 upgrades at a time.
