HOURS Wiki

Difficulties are a feature in the game HOURS used to increase the intensity of the game. Currently, there are 4 difficulties in the game: Weeks, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds. Each difficulty alludes to four different time frames, those being the name of the difficulty in question. Milliseconds, on the other hand, is Dreamer's passive ability and is not a difficulty (though it acts like one).

Visit each one of the specific pages for the difficulties to get more tips and details about the difficulties (this page is a brief overview).

Weeks[]

''Losing is a Challenge''.
''For weeklings.''

Taking the crown as the easiest difficulty in the game, it reduces incoming damage to 1/4, reduces enemy health by half, prevents staggering from enemy damage, and allows all of your attacks to stagger enemies once every 2 seconds.

Certain Hosts and Tempos (e.g the Host Hellion and the Tempo Word) can be unlocked in this difficulty but not all.

Hours[]

"Take reduced damage and no staggering from damage."
"For those who are looking for a relaxing experience."

The Hours difficulty is the 2nd easiest difficulty in the game. It cuts all damage in half, and removes staggering for all basic attacks from enemies. Stunning attacks such as Fiend Rider's Car and Nerve Healer's Pumpkin Drop still stun you as normal.

Minutes[]

"The difficulty the game is balanced around."
"For those who are looking for a challenge."

Minutes is the medium difficulty in the game, sitting between Hours and Seconds, and is the difficulty the game is balanced around you playing, as stated in its description. This time, you take staggering from most attacks (with some exceptions, e.g. Circuit Breaker's Laser Falcon's laser shot), and taking the normal amount of damage you should take. Subject can be unlocked on this mode, but only while playing on mobile.

Seconds[]

"Named so for how long you will last."
"For those who are looking for a quick death."

Seconds challenges your skill and adaptability. When you choose this difficulty, all damage is doubled, and enemy health is increased by 25%, making it much more difficult, as one touch by an enemy could destroy your health bar. Subject can be unlocked on this difficulty, assuming you used a Computer or Cheat Menu.

Trivia[]

  • The symbol for difficulties are actually numbers 0, 1, 2, and 3 rotated 90 degrees to the right.
