Hi everyone, long time no see.

Somewhat recently gotten into Drawback Chess, where its Chess with both sides having drawbacks.

Now, I really like the game, but I decided that 1 drawback is not enough to hold back my oh so amazing skills at Chess (I'm barely 1k elo on rapid), so I made myself a challenge to bring my king up in the opening. Every. Single. Game. Bongcloud style. I'll link the first 11 games, right now my stats are 7 wins, 4 losses, 0 draws.

Game 1 (Won, opponent timed out early for some reason.)

Game 2 (Lost by drawback a bit early)

Game 3 (Lost, timed out in the endgame with none of my pieces able to capture)

Game 4 (Lost by drawback + early misclick)

Game 5 (Won, opponent resigned while down a piece)

Game 6 (Won, opponent blundered and lost to their drawback)

Game 7 (Won, my opponent lost to their drawback right before they could capture my King)

Game 8 (Won, enemy blundered their King due to being forced to ignore the check)

Game 9 (Won, opponent lost on time in a somewhat closed position)

Game 10 (Lost, an endgame where my opponent was losing until they found out their King was immortal)

Game 11 (Won, opponent blundered a rook and allowed a pass pawn to sneak through)

If you're wondering, I can't really call this a pure Bongcloud challenge because of people who really seems to like running D4 games.

explain why

Heyyy guys! I know ya'll likely don't know me, but I'm really just posting here because this is the place I go to when there's something I feel the need to get off my chest while not sharing it with my social circle.

You can just go to another post if you don't want to hear this, you don't need to go "yo no offense but putting your problems on the internet doesn't do crap" or whatever.

Sooo let’s go to the end of a (somewhat) difficult lesson. Our teacher wants to give one last practice item before the session ends when all of a sudden my classmate kind of… broke down, which is the best way I can put it. Uncontrollable laughter with tears, whilst hitting himself in the chest… hurts to see it. I wanted to bring him to the infirmary immediately but the class decided I should bring him to the counselor instead.

Walking there, I can hear him calling himself an idiot through his laughs… then he just seems to just snap into focus. A moment of lucidity? Can I call it awareness when he seems unknowing of what’s going on? Whatever it is, he just seems to be snapping between those 2 states.

When he was brought into the counselor room, he continued laughing for a while before just… snapping into a form of composure. And honestly, the most rattling part was how he talked in that state… the third person speech, as if- no, referring to a he not in control that moment… acknowledging his dreams and what he wanted to be, and yet speaking as if it just isn’t his own. It sounded so much like what I told myself before that I couldn’t help but just tear up a bit. It just scares me.

He probably doesn’t even remember saying he doesn’t care for me, or that he forgot me. It’s fine, it doesn’t really bother me. What bothers me, though, is the resemblance I saw of myself through his breakdown…

The only thing I just wanna talk about now is this exchange I had:

“What name would you call yourself?”

“That… is a difficult question. I do not know.”

Okay I'll try to be as detailed as possible but because its a dream it might be hazy

So one day I was fighting this little critter I can't name the species of (it might be a porcupine or hedgehog) when I just... died. I think I went to the heavens and talked to God about how I'll come back, but what I do know was that I became a ghost in my house.

I tried to like fly (success) and go through a wall (not a success), and a thought after I tried the wall thing was "WAIT CAN I WRITE?" Got a paper and... I think a crayon but it might've been a pen or pencil. Either way I was somehow able to write so I tried to write a message (all I think I was able to write was "THANKS" for some reason, forgot what I was about) when I heard from above something along the lines of making me unable to interact with objects.

I looked up, scared that I wouldn't be able to either communicate or come back, when I saw my mom... then before I knew it I was alive again fighting the critter. I managed to kill it (it was a hard fight and I wish I was joking (it was also small as hell how was it difficult????) ) when I saw my mom behind me. I knew she (somehow, might've been by the power of a mother's love or whatever) time-traveled backwards so I whispered her 2 questions.

"Do they remember?"

Unclear response.

"How did I die?"

"You just... exploded."

End of dream.
